‘Freedom day’

Now that the remaining Covid restrictions have been lifted in England we’ve been able to get back to full contact adult judo, and also to welcome beginners into all of our classes – which we couldn’t previously do due to participataion number restrictions. Coinciding with this we have also started classes at our newly added registered training venue at Hingham Sports Hall, Watton Road, Hingham NR9 4HD.

New Venue

We successfully transported all our mats, equipment and stock to our new home at Morley Village & Sports Hall last weekend and we are getting ready to re-open our doors and start classes for children again on Wednesday 23rd June 2021!!

Re-Opening

Due to the various stages of national Covid related restrictions and lockdowns, and restrictions on safe return to sport Wymondham Judo Club has been closed since March 2020. During the last few months the committee have been working hard to arrange our re-opening and this has included moving the clubs home to the fantastic facilities at Morley Village & Sports Hall. We are aiming to commence classes there on Wednesday evenings from 23rd June 2021 onwards. Full details will be announced on our FaceBook page in the coming weeks.

Due to inclement weather conditions, we have taken the decision to close the club on Wednesday 28th February 2018. Please do not travel to the club in this date.

Grading Success!

Dave Horton-Jones, 7th Dan, presented 26 members of Wymondham Judo Club with certificates and belts, on the 28th September, following a successful grading. He then led the second class, demonstrating a range of techniques.

Coach Andrew Gadsby was extremely pleased with the performance of everybody who graded, and Dave was very impressed with the technical ability on show during the session.

We look forward to our next grading early in the new year, and congratulate those who successfully achieved their next grade.
